This is the Windows Experience Score after the first book and before installing or removing additional programs or making any system tweaks. This is done for reference purposes, and has two benefits:
1) I can compare after I do some tweaks
2) new buyers to see what the machine will likely give them outside the box.
As you can see, the Intel GMA card brings the score down to 3.4. This is not a surprise, as this is not intended to be a gamer's system. Aero performance is 4.1. This is something that I will experiment in the next few days. I am currently going to let Aero run and see what happens when I start hammering the computer :)
The remaining three scores are between 5.6 and 5.7, a symmetry for the math geeks. It is a T6600 dual-core processor after all, with 4gb of memory on a 64-bit operating system. More on all these later on as well. I can't do everything at once, I am not Google :)
The whole screenshot does not fit in the blog template, but be sure to check the full size JPEG.

Also of interest, be sure to check the list of active processes after the first boot. The ones I started are listed right above the screen-shot.
